Outset celebrates Global Entrepreneurship Week

HighImpactBadge2013-1YTKO Group and it’s award-winning Outset and Enterprising Women programmes hosted a packed schedule of events as part of this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Week, from 18th – 24th November.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is an international campaign that aims to highlight sources of help, support and funding for anyone thinking of starting their own business.

Aspiring business people joined events during the week, from networking events focusing on brand and intellectual property, Information sessions about Outset’s range of courses and annual business events including Outset Cornwall’s “Step It Forward” Conference.

YTKO Group also earned the title of ‘High Impact Host’ for 6 of our Enterprising Women events in Worcester, Woodbridge, Liverpool, Gloucester, Bury and Cambridge, as well as our Outset Cornwall conference and number other enterprise workshops held during GEW week.

Outset is delivered by the YTKO Group and has helped around 12,700 people to explore the possibility of starting up their own business. Its award-winning range of training options includes start-up support, mentoring, e-learning, access to finance and specialist growth provision, and has contributed to the creation of 2,300 businesses and over 2,500 new jobs.

Outset currently operates in locations including Cornwall, Plymouth, Torbay, Bristol and Swindon. A further Outset programme is set to launch in Bournemouth later this year.

Enterprising Women is the UK’s largest women-run business community with over 45,000 members. They deliver a range of high quality training events, growth programmes, local business clubs and mentoring, as well as encouraging business and peer support from within the group.
