Outset founder Bev Hurley awarded C.B.E.
Founder of Outset, Bev Hurley has been honoured with the C.B.E. for Services to Enterprise in this year’s New Years Honours. Congratulations have been pouring in from around the UK, recognising Bev’s tireless work for entrepreneurship and business at local, national and international level, and crowns another successful year for the YTKO Group and it’s award-winning Outset programme.
A delighted Bev said: “I’m absolutely thrilled and humbled to be honoured by this award which came as a huge surprise. I never dreamed I would win such an honour, so for once I’m a bit lost for words!”

It’s been a busy year for the YTKO Group. In the last six months alone, the company celebrated winning their second contract to deliver business growth support harnessing superfast broadband, two commissions for the Get Set for Growth investment readiness and access to finance service, Enterprising Women’s successful launches of local business clubs around the UK, approval as a government Start-up Loan provider as well as the award-winning Outset start-up service passing the 2500 business created milestone – with 3000 new jobs set by the start of the new year.
